Robert had Kacang Pacang as co-hare for the run. Good thing, since Robert and Simon Seow managed to get lost while doing their own run. Parking was immediately after the driving school. The run was well attended by approx. 50 hashers, including early birds.

The run started at the nursery and meandered down the road before cutting into the palm plantation.The 1st check regrouped the pack before crossing over the creek and heading to the top of the first hill. This was an arduous climb of over 300 feet, with a spectacular, panoramic view at the top. Hashers who had successfully managed the climb offered encouragement to those still looking forward to the ascent.There was some confusion at the next check which followed a false trail, as old paper was visible. The FRB’s missed the turn into the oil palms and followed old paper back to the bottom of the palms. Several mid packers, including Drugbuster, Bugsy Malone, and guests followed the hare’s trail and met up with Dennis the Menace and Gary Tan a.k.a. Joystick, who had backtracked to find the hare’s trail. Fortunately the false trail which separated the hares did not lose any of the hound pack. The last 2-3 km of the trail was back on the road track. Other than Hendry, GM’s driver and the two lost hares, all were back by 7:15, in time to listen to the music provided by Gilbert and Pecker’s tandem acoustical guitar arrangements.

The circle was delayed while Khoo Ka retrieved the lost hares. Dennis the Menace began the circle by putting Gilbert and Pecker on ice in appreciation of them bringing their guitars to the run site. They led the group with Rah-sa-saha which flowed into She’ll Be Coming Round the Mountain. Albert joined in with his whistle. Dennis the Menace had picked up a statue of a very well endowed gold man while in China on the Solstice Run. He dubbed it the On Tune. If a hasher is caught not singing, they are eyed by the On Tune and must pay the penalty and sit on the ice. Twin Towers and Chickadee came up with new hash lyrics to the tune of Do – Ray – Me. While the lyrics where being passed out, Ranger was instructed to sit on the ice. When asked why, he was informed, “Just so you can show off your ass. The Hash Do – Ray – Me was then sung with gusto for fear of the On Tune. The lyrics are:
TUESday is the night we hash,
COME and join in all the fun.
WE have gals, great tits and ass,
GUYS with muscles and huge dongs.
TRAILS, a different one each week,
ICE to cool down your butt checks,
BEER to drink and drink and drink,
Tuesday hash – let’s all on down, down, down, down.
Garfield was put on ice for claiming he’s too old to run, etc. Hashers are never too old. On-Snap was penalized for not singing. Bugsy Malone was iced and informed that Bugsy Malone was a fictitious character, based on a Chicago gangster, Al Capone, and that Albert could make up his own story, making Bugsy as big and bad as he wanted. Chickadee was put on ice for two crimes; not running and passing the hare, (Robert and Simon) on the road in Bertam Ulu and not stopping to pick them up. She got back at GM by putting him on ice as she did not make it to the run on time because she was taking care of hash business; making a chart so all members could check to see when their subscriptions were due. The hash circle felt that the GM needed to be punished severely and so made him sit on ice while they attempted the Do-Ray-Me song again. Khoo Ka was caught not singing so he was put on ice. He was also the good Samaritan who went and picked up Robert and Simon. Vibrator was punished for showing up so late that he could not tell a “while I was running” story as he did not pass anyone. Doris was iced for her willingness to do whatever was asked of her. Speedy sang to her personally on bended knee.

Next weeks hare – Hawaii Goh announced that the run would be at the quarry. Two first time hashers where on downed: Eric who was brought by On Snap and is available and Sue, Debbie’s daughter who is passing through on her way to Dubai. Bugsy Malone was called back to the ice for a VERY SERIOUS CHARGE: he was caught sitting on a motorbike during the circle, and to make matters worse had not asked for permission; either from the GM or the owner of the motorbike, Garfield. Robert Choe was on downed for getting lost: He congratulated Kacang Panjang for the good job and announced that the On In would be in Cheng. Horlicks was caught not singing and became the final guilty party of the night.

It was some of the finest singing ever heard from MH3. Beware of the wrath of the On Tune.
